In 1999, Allen co-founded Quantum5x Systems Inc. (Q5X) a company which innovates and manufactures wireless technologies for the Film, Television and Sports broadcast industries. Allen retired from Q5X in 2015 to pursue his ongoing film career, with his wife, screenplay writer Robin E. Crozier, and best friends and filmmaker David O'Keefe and Michael A. Charbon.
